Halloween 2015: Ghost Decorations

For this project, from the Craft Studio, all you need are Styrofoam balls, white fabric (try old sheets), and a black permanent marker.

These spooky ghosts can be created in a variety of sizes and make for a great party activity for young guests as well as a fun craft to do with kids in preparation for a Halloween celebration.

Gather your supplies!
For this project, you'll be Styrofoam balls (try medium and small sizes if you want a variety of ghost sizes), white fabric (try old sheets), scissors, and a black permanent marker. Photo by Andrew Schwartz.
Make your ghosts!
Cut or tear the fabric into a rectangle that’s large enough to wrap around the ball with some extra to hang down. Use the marker to draw the face on the ghost (with the fabric lying flat) once you know where on the ball the fabric will lie. Then, tear fabric into strips to tie the rectangle around the fabric draped over the ball (making the ghost’s head). Photo by Andrew Schwartz.
Decorate your party!
Once you've completed your ghosts, use them to hang behind or next to the treat table at your party! We recommend clear fishing line to hang them with so that they appear to be floating. Photo by Andrew Schwartz.
