Great Play of Scarsdale recently added a slew of new activities to their line-up. Zineb Truta, who took over as the new owner about six months ago, says she wants to create a space that is fun for kids and parents.
Truta introduced Parents’ Night Out, a new drop-off program that takes place on the third Friday of each month. Parents drop kids off at the gym for a few hours; children show up in their pajamas and enjoy games, age-appropriate stories, pizza, and a movie. This event is open to both members and nonmembers of the gym.
Other new activities offered at Great Play of Scarsdale include Zumbatomic, a sibling class, a new weekend class, and a drop-off camp, Snack & Play. More party times have also been added to the schedule.
Zumbatomic classes are suitable for children ages 5-10 and Truta says they appeal to boys and girls alike. The sibling class is geared toward parents with children in different age groups, and the weekend class was created with working parents in mind, Truta says. The camp will run on days when elementary schools are closed, such as holidays, and the itinerary will include games, story time, and snack.
Great Play of Scarsdale is located at 969B Central Park Ave., in the lower level of the Midway Shopping Center.
