Emanuel Lutheran School in Patchogue is now offering scholarships for students who transfer from public schools, as well as matching funds for students who transfer from other private schools. The school also has a brand-new playground for preschoolers.
Emanuel Lutheran School, known for instilling character, excellence, and faith into its students, started a program in September to offer scholarships to transfer students. The scholarship will give outside students the opportunity to get to know the school while benefiting from the school’s 12-to-1 student-to-teacher ratio, its abundance of after-school activities, and a state-certified staff.
Emanuel Lutheran School is offering a $2,500 scholarship per family for students who transfer from public schools and will match the tuition for students who transfer from other private schools for one year. “We want to give children a chance to try our school,” says Denise Norman, the principal.
The school also has a brand-new, colorful playground for preschoolers to enjoy. The school held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Sept. 4 when it officially declared the playground open for play. The new playground replaced a wooden structure and has many new features, including a rock climbing wall to make recess more fun.
Emanuel Lutheran School is open to all faiths, enrolling students from preschool through eighth grade. “We provide a quality education with a Christian focus so as to prepare children to function effectively as Christians in today’s world,” Norman says.
Emanuel Lutheran School is state-certified and exposes students to a rigorous academic standard.
