In our April issues, we raised a call to action and asked for your help. The director of Autistic Like Me: A Father’s Perspective, a documentary that moved us to take action, started an awareness and advocacy initiative called ALM Outreach Campaign. We started an IndieGoGo campaign in honor of Autistic Like Me, and we hope to raise $5,000 by June 1 to help provide education, support, and awareness about autism.
We promised that additional perks for donating to our campaign would be announced throughout April, Autism Awareness month, until the end of the fundraising project, and we are happy to announce our first perk: Fun Decks, generously donated by Super Duper.
Super Duper Fun Decks are engaging, educational card decks, are a perfect learning tool for children, and are particularly helpful for children on the autism spectrum. Super Duper has donated to the campaign, a selection of 10 Fun Decks focusing developing on valuable social skills, including emotions, answering questions, and dealing with real-life situations in all aspects of the community, home, and school. These Fun Decks contain between 52 and 56, 2 ½ x 3 ½ full-color picture cards (illustrated or photo), content cards, and game ideas all inside of a sturdy metal tin. Super Duper also offers Mobile Apps for many of these Fun Decks.
Fun Decks retail at $12.95, so we are asking that you donate $13 to the Autistic Like Me IndieGoGo campaign in order to receive a Fun Decks perk. You’ll support a great cause and receive your very own Fun Decks. It’s a great gift for your child and a charitable donation to a meaningful cause all at once!
