Concert and screening in Red Hook put spotlight on iconic American waterway

It’s a salute to the history of the Erie Canal on Sept. 3 as Jay Unger and Molly Mason perform in concert.

The pair celebrates the canal through music and a screening of Paul Wagner’s “Boom and Bust: America’s Journey on the Erie Canal,” a 2016 documentary that traces the canal’s industrial expansion and decline and the lives of the people who made a living along it.
