Kids love to be in the kitchen. Letting them be miniature chefs is a great way to get kids involved in what they eat. And while many recipes require stovetop flames or hot ovens, these no-bake chocolate covered pretzels are a fun treat to make without endangering little hands. —
I dipped my pretzels in fun and colorful sprinkles, but you can go just about anywhere with these: chopped nuts, shredded coconut, chopped up oreos, crushed m&ms – just make sure your pieces aren’t too heavy to stick. The key to making the process easier is melting the chocolate in a tall cup or glass, so the sticks can jut be dipped in instead of spreading. As the level in the cup lowers, you might need some help spreading it upwards on the pretzel.
These snacks will be great as a party favor at your child’s birthday party, a welcome suprise in his or her lunchbox, or just a fun way to spend a Sunday afternoon. And remember, broken pretzels have no calories!

Rod-shaped pretzels
Sprinkles
Instructions:
- Melt the chocolate in a tall glass or similarly-shaped container.

- Dip the pretzels in the chocolate, about half-way covered.
- Let any excess drip away, and scrape off any big blobs with a knife.
- Roll the pretzel in the sprinkles until all the chocolate is covered.
- Place the pretzels on a parchment-paper lined baking sheet, and let them dry. To speed things up, but the sheet in the fridge.
