As we read in the Times last week, there’s something about babywearing that just seems so…well, natural (and cuddly!). It’s no wonder the ancient practice is all the rage in contemporary New York—after all, what better method could there be of transporting your little one through crowded city streets (not to mention up and down steps and through subway turnstiles) than with her strapped snugly against you? But safety is a concern, too–according to the Consumer Reports Product Safety Commission, there’s a right way and a wrong way to wear your baby. Whatever your feelings about slings, wraps, pouches and babywearing in general, we encourage you to familiarize yourself with their safety tips.
