In lieu of the caffeine buzz that’s to be expected on National Coffee Day (September 29th) this year, we’ve put together a list of kid-friendly coffee treats that will be sure to impress your little ones (and of course, coffee-mad moms and dads can indulge in some extra-special cups of Joe). From pastries to mousse to ice cream, New York has got you covered.

Financier Patisserie locations all over New York offer a variety of pastries including the Opera: a coffee buttercream, chocolate ganache and espresso soaked almond cake with chocolate glaze. Be sure to also check out their coffee flavored eclairs! On National Coffee Day they’ll be handing out a free small cup of Financier Patisserie’s new Dark Roast with every purchase.

Head over to Cafe Lalo for a slice of cappuccino cheesecake or a coffee flavored pastry. They also serve espresso chip flavored ice cream and include an option of fresh berries with every dessert!

Skip the hazelnut coffee and grab some chocolate hazelnut biscotti from Once Upon a Tart, a NYC kid-friendly family-favorite cafe. Be sure to stick around and enjoy their outdoor seating!

Spot Dessert Bar has a wide range of cupcakes, macarons, cakes and sorbets including their Vietnamese coffee flavored cupcake! Spot spikes traditional desserts with an Asian flair and their ‘order online’ feature makes satisfying your sweet tooth easy!

Edgar’s Cafe features a number of coffee-flavored desserts on their menu including a cappuccino mousse. “Chocolate butter cookie crust filled with creamy dark chocolate and coffee mousse flavor topped with roses of whipped cream,” the menu boasts. This is a must-try for all chocolate lovers out there.

The chocolate covered nut assortments over at L.A. Burdick Handmade Chocolates features hazelnuts that are covered in coffee-chocolate and dusted in cocoa powder. This decadent chocolate shop is bound to bring you in for more than just one visit!

Bring Cafe Reggio’s Granita Di Cafe, a homemade espresso slush with whipped cream, for an afternoon in Washington Square Park. Their Greenwich Village location makes pairing a coffee-slushie with an afternoon activity easy!

Visit Alice’s Tea Cup for a wide selection of “Birthday, Un-Birthday and Custom Cakes”! With a menu that includes everything from “Queen of Hearts Lemon Tart” to “White Rabbit Dark Chocolate Mousse”, there’s something for everyone, chocolate and coffee lovers alike.

The Dominique Ansel Bakery, home of the cronut (part croissant part donut), features a new flavor every month. Fingers crossed that they get on board with National Coffee Day and feature a coffee-flavored cronut soon!

My Most Favorite stays true to it’s name and brings you a delicious assortment of cakes, pies, tarts, cookies and brownies. Their Brazilian Coffee Mousse Cake is a Génoise roulade filled with coffee mousse and glazed with chocolate and almonds.
