HAPIK Yonkers
For a wall climbing adventure (and much more!), check out HAPIK. Located in a 10,000-square-feet facility, HAPIK offers kids (ages four+) the chance to climb, swing, and move and groove through 150 routes across 50 climbing walls. This includes heights up to 26-feet and two courses. The walls at HAPIK are fun and vibrant where you might find soccer ball grip holders to circular planet grip holders for an unexpected and challenging climbing experience. The facility also has easy climbing walls (for kids ages four and five), vertical challenges, ziplines, swinging bridge, suspended platforms, multi-climber challenges, and a snack bar for a quick bit in between climbing. The Cliffs at Valhalla
The Cliffs at Valhalla offers many ways for you and your kids to start their climbing adventure. You can opt for a day pass, membership, or lessons where your kids’ can learn skills, drills, and new climbing techniques. Families looking for rock climbing in Westchester will love the Cliffs at Valhalla. The location boosts many ways for kids to move and practice skills, such as a 200+ boulder problems and routes, and three auto-belay stations. They also have a fitness center, yoga classes, and a full locker room with showers. Families can learn how to climb together via a two-hour family rock climbing lesson where you will also learn safety skills and basic techniques. The Rock Club
For rock climbing enthusiasts in Westchester, this spot is a must-visit. The Rock Club offers many options for climbing. First-timers can opt for their new climber package, which includes a climbing 101 course, climbing membership, and free gear rental. They also offer day passes and skill-based climbing for advanced climbers. This includes tight-rope climbing and bouldering with shorter walls. Kids who want to take their climbing to the next level, can join Team Rock. The team trains five days a week from September- June and participates in various climbing competitions. ROAM Further Athletics
Enjoy obstacle-based classes and programming at ROAM Further Athletics. Designed for kids and adults, ROAM is focused on skill-based movement, training, and developing Parkour skills. This includes slow and purposeful training where you and your kids learn how to move in new environments. This includes skills in ninja, obstacle course racing, acrobatics, and more. Programs for kids include little roamers for kids 18 months old to five months old, roamers ages 5-10 years old, and romans for kids ages 10 and up. They also offer holiday break camps and summer camps that focuses on experiential learning, team-building activities, and skill development. Sportime USA has a 24-foot rock climbing wall. Climbers must be at least 45 pounds. The facility offers tons of other attractions for kid such as thrill rides, bumper cars, a jungle gym filled with slides, and climbing mazes.
