The award-winning summer camp programs hosted by NY City Explorers are available for
children ages 2 through 10.
Explorers Academy
Preschool Camp (Ages 2 through 6): Preschoolers meet at Explorers
Academy Preschool in Downtown Brooklyn for a day of fun, education and friends
under the supervision and guidance of our certified early childhood
educators. Camp available from 8am-6pm or 8am-3:30pm, with
all meals, activities and classes included. Each themed
week includes games, crafts, naptime and instruction in the arts and early
academics.
Discovery Camp (Ages 4 through 6): Pre-kindergartners, rising Kindergartners and recent graduates meet at The
Learning Garden in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn, for a daily camp schedule that
includes opportunities for free play, healthful snacks and
meals, interactive social play, outdoor education including gardening
and plant life maintenance in our private backyard. Discovery Camp
prepares students for the school year ahead and provides the perfect
introduction to the excitement, structure and socialization of a
school day. Camp Tuition
includes meals, snacks, activities and local excursions each week. The
camp day begins at 8am with after-camp
available until 6pm.
Summer Adventure Camp (Ages 5 through 10): School-aged children meet each day at The Meeting House in Downtown Brooklyn,
Il Caffe Latte in Harlem, or Igloo Cafe in Astoria to
prepare for a day of adventure and education, using the City as their
classroom! Campers join staff each morning for a healthful
breakfast and morning orientation before leaving with counselors for a
different adventure each day, traveling throughout all five boroughs during the
summer to educational, entertaining destinations such as the Bronx Zoo; the Intrepid
Sea, Air and Space
Museum; and the NY Hall of Science.
Meals and MTA transportation are
included. The day begins at 8am,
with drop-off available from 8am-9am, pick up at 4pm, and aftercamp (Brooklyn location
only) available until 6pm.
