Yes, the weekend is here again already, with lots of exciting shows and festivals all over the city! We’re looking forward to the Scooby-Doo musical, AMNH’s Black History Month celebration, a ballet choreographed by a “Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark” star, and much more family fun. What are you waiting for?

 

STARTING FRIDAY

Calling all gumshoes: Scooby-Doo comes to life in an NYC-themed phantom mystery musical at the Beacon Theatre. Meet the gang here! (Friday-Sunday)

Learn about garden animals and cropharvesting with Grug, a loveable hay stack puppet, who grows his own food at the New Victory Theater this weekend. We give it agreen thumbs up. (Friday-Sunday)

It’s the last week of City Bakery’s Hot Chocolate Fest! Get the scoop on the special daily flavors–think banana peel and “happy” hot chocolate–right here. (Friday-Sunday)

Campers will work each week to put on a brand-new show! Each session, they will receive a script, rehearse a production, make a set and costumes, and perform their play. Kids will also play drama games, play outside (weather permitting), and have tons of fun!</p> <p>Musical Theater Camps are aimed at kids entering grades 4-9. In Musical Theater Performance Camp, campers put on a complete musical production in a professional NYC theater! Campers will stretch their skills with drama exercises and games, vocal coaching, field trips, and building a professional set.
