is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and in honor of the many families affected, we’d like to highlight an inspiring
story from our October issue, about local mom and breast cancer survivor
Margo Kornfeld, who not only faced down the disease, but transformed herself
into a "total athlete" in the process. For anyone interested in
contributing to breast cancer research, check out our style director, Joy
Sherwood’s guide to this season’s "pink" products. —Another way to
support the cause is to take part in one of the fundraisers happening in the
city this month, like the New York Avon Walk on
October 16-17, which covers 39 miles over two days, or Wacoal’s Fit For the Cure event at
Macy’s Herald Square on October 22. For every woman who gets fitted for her
true bra size, $2 will be donated to Susan G. Komen For The Cure.
