Known for its mix of strong academics and student citizenship, one of the Upper West Side’s most well-regarded independents, The Mandell School (which runs from the toddler ages through 8th grade), is expanding around the city.
In addition to its home base of schools on Columbus Avenue, between West 96th and West 98th, Mandell is adding two new nursery divisions. The first opens this month near the Lincoln Square area at 150 Amsterdam Avenue; the second, a downtown school at 30 Broad Street, opens in the fall of 2013.
