On Sunday, November 7, author Wendy Mass (“Jeremy Fink and the Meaning of Life,” “A Mango-Shaped Space”) talks with 2009 Newbery Award-winner Rebecca Stead (“When You Reach Me”) about Mass’s latest literary concoction, “The Candymakers.” Told from the perspectives of four kid contestants in a candy-making contest, the book is a delightful mix of humor, fun and mystery. —
Great for ages 8-13, the event is part of Symphony Space’s Thalia Kids Book Club, which hosts great discussions between young readers and children’s book authors, along with a creative writing project and a book signing.
