2012 Kids in the Square: Yoga, Circus Skills, and The Groove

Kids rule Union Square this morning! Start the day with yoga in the pavilion, and then enjoy a circus performance by TRACES, music by Little Groove, and Whole Foods Market snacks. A limited number of yoga mats will be provided.

NYC Dot Presents Summer Streets
Park Avenue from Central Park to the Brooklyn Bridge

The fifth annual Summer Streets means that about seven miles of New York City’s streets will be opened up to the public for everyone to play, run, walk, and bike. You can rock climb at Spring Street, receive a free bike helmet at 51st Street, soar through the air on a zip line at Foley Square, or just stroll along the city’s streets.

Lowe’s Build & Grow: Make a Shrek Dragon Ride

Lowe’s locations around the city are hosting free Build & Grow workshops for kids. This week, Shrek and Donkey are flying in for some fun! Make a dragon like the one Shrek flies on in the movie by using wood and other tools. Be sure to register.
