Local Catholic School Brings Preschool Program Back

Our Lady of Wisdom, a coed Catholic school, is bringing its preschool program back for the new school year. The program for 4-year-olds is five full days per week, and children learn reading, math, technology, Italian, music, and art. The preschool also offers before and after care for its preschool students.

Dramatic play at Our Lady of Wisdom is a fun way to re-tell stories read in class and foster self-expression and confidence in students.

In September, Our Lady of Wisdom, a coed Catholic regional school, will reintroduce its preschool program for 4-year-olds to its kindergarten through eighth grade curriculum. The preschool will offer an advanced program with five full days per week and follows the Common Core Standards for pre-K.

Preschoolers will be busy all day as they work on an introduction to reading, math, technology, Italian, physical education and health, music, art, and more. Religion will also feature prominently within the curriculum, and report cards will be issued to give parents an idea of how their children are progressing. The preschoolers will also have the opportunity to join the older students for special activities throughout the year.

To help parents who are unable to make regular school hours of 8am-2:30pm, Our Lady of Wisdom offers a morning and afternoon care program for a small fee where parents can drop off their children as early as 7am and pick them up as late as 5:30pm.

Registration for the 2013-2014 school year is now open for preschool through eighth grade.
