One of our favorite local dance troupes, the Shooting Stars Performing Arts Company, had the great opportunity to perform at The Barclays Center last Monday on February 3rd,before the basketball game between the New York Nets and the Philadelphia 76ers. Selected out of hundreds of other dance and performing companies, two teams of dancers performed a six-minute dance routine in front of thousands of fans.
Despite being the first sporting event performance for the company, the girls at Shooting Stars have had their fair share of public performances. The troupe has also worked to raise awareness on various important causes, including breast cancer and dyslexia. The local NYC troupe is definitely a force to be reckoned with.
