Kermit use to say that it’s not that easy being green, but it actually is getting easier, more affordable, and even more fun to incorporate all sorts of eco-friendly measures into family life, and we especially want to steer you to the “healthy and green living” section of the website Care2 (as in “Care2 Make A Difference”). — The site has over 14 million followers and its popular green section has a ton of family-relevant stories. NYC mom and journalist Melissa Breyer oversees Care2’s green coverage, and she herself kindly recommends Amanda Blake of Soule Mama as one of her favorite “green family/mommy bloggers,” along with Ronnie Citron-Fink of Eco Nesting. Both blogs have the feel of walking into your favorite design boutique, where you’re as likely to discover a wonderful D.I.Y. idea to enjoy with your child as something truly special for your home.
