New York’s Largest Holiday Festival featuring free family fun, live entertainment, children’s activities, food tastings from renowned restaurants, and the Upper West Side’s only tree lighting is set for Monday, December 2, 2013, at 5:30pm.
The Lincoln Square Business Improvement District (BID) hosts the 14th annual Winter’s Eve at Lincoln Square—New York’s largest outdoor holiday festival right after Thanksgiving on Monday December 2 from 5:30-9pm! The Lincoln Square BID will welcome back folk legend Arlo Guthrie to lead the line-up and entertain the masses on the main stage at DantePark (Broadway & 63rd Street) to kick off the holiday season. There will be over 20 live performance areas and over 30 restaurants offering savory samples of signature dishes.
“We are thrilled to welcome back a Winter’s Eve favorite, Arlo Guthrie to headline our main stage for the 14th annual festival – less than a week away,” says Lincoln Square BID President, Monica Blum. “Arlo will undoubtedly light up the Upper West Side with holiday cheer and joy to kick off this annual celebration that has become one of New York City’s iconic public, holiday events. We encourage locals, commuters and tourists, families and grandparents, students and professionals, arts lovers, foodies and shoppers to join in on the fun.”
Plus, the Parks Department will run a free trolley up and down Broadway during the event. Or, take the M5, M7, M11, M66, M72, M104 buses, or the1 train to 66th/LincolnCenter or A C B D trains to 59th/Columbus Circle.
