    The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum will host its annual Kids Week festival from Sunday, February 17–Saturday, February 23.  During Kids Week, visitors will have the opportunity to participate in dozens of fun-filled activities, live animal shows, hands-on workshops, musical performances, special guests and interactive demonstrations that the whole family will enjoy. This year, the Kids Week theme is Full STEAM Ahead where science, technology, engineering, arts, math and fun take center stage. Through themed daily activities, kids can explore space and science, engage with the arts and music and learn all about animals.

    Sunday, February 17 and Monday, February 18, Kids Week will explore arts and music fun. Kids can make their own musical instrument and puppet, learn origami and solve some out-of-the-box problems with Rosie Revere, Engineer & Friends. Tuffy the Tiger will also be performing and families can blow some unbelievable bubbles with the Gazillion Bubble Show.

    Tuesday, February 19 through Thursday, February 21, families can discover a safari and nature adventure. Kids will have the opportunity to meet animal ambassadors from around the world including a kangaroo, bearded dragon, tortoise, and more. Families can learn all about primates, fossilized ants, polar bears and the oyster population in New York Harbor

    Friday, February 22 and Saturday, February 23, kids will explore space and science. Families can catch a glimpse of the Space Camp experience. There will be Mad Science shows and a flight simulation video game. Kids can also learn about the building components of a model rocket and the science behind basic flight and rocketry.
