Cross-Stitch Circle At New York Historical Society

Has your family ever wanted to try one of the oldest forms of embroidery in the world? Join those at the New York Historical Society, where beginning cross-stitchers will learn the basic stitch and create a simple bookmark. If you are a more seasoned stitcher, continue working on your bookmark or branch into more complicated designs. This activity is recommended for children ages six and up, but younger kids may also come along and contribute by weaving recycled fabrics and ribbons. nyhistory.org
