The Museum of the City of New York and Activist New York highlight specific people and organizations focused on furthering and securing the futures of black communities. Covering important topics ranging from rights to making progressive changes to advance the community, visitors will get to focus in on these issues through discussion, art projects and a scavenger hunt through the Activist New York exhibit. By looking back at the Civil Rights and forward to the Black Lives movement, guests will celebrate the works of those New Yorkers who have made steps to pave the way to better futures for black Americans.
