If you have visited the
Children’s Museum of the Arts recently, in their new 11,000-square-foot space
in SoHo, you would know how sincerely it fulfills its
mission of providing an authentic hands-on art experience for its young visitors. —
Perhaps what you don’t
know is that CMA also offers a wide array of free community
outreach programs for underserved children and teens.
This is where you come in.
To help raise funding for these free
community programs, CMA will hold its 7th Annual Art Auction on
Wednesday, November 2 at 7pm at 82
Mercer Street.
Paddle8‘s Alexander Gilkes will lead the live and
silent auction, which will feature pieces by art greats such as: Andy Warhol,
Cecily Brown, William Quigley, Yoko Ono, James Nares,
and 95 other established and emerging artists. The pieces will be
previewed and available for online bidding or immediate purchase via
a dedicated section on the site. Paddle8 will also host exclusive
online sales for the auctions.
For those unable to
attend, the auction will be webcast live by Zeitbyte Digital Media. This fantastic evening
of charity and community (not to mention, art galore) will include hors
d’oeuvres, cocktails and music. Tickets start at $125.
