Weekend Planner: January 7-9

The theme this weekend is theatrical fun, with hilarious performances for kids of all ages happening all over the city. We’re especially excited for the Swedish troupe "Mummenschanz" at the Skirball Center, the Fred Garbo Inflatable Theater Company at Symphony Space, Little Red Riding Hood at Manhattan Children’s Theater, and the Hip Hop Shakespeare workshop at Lincoln Center, to name a few. —

If you’d like to jam to some kid-approved music, two of our favorite musicians will be playing this weekend; the Suzi Shelton Band will take the stage at 92 Y Tribeca, and the Deedle Deedle Dees will rock out at the Knitting Factory in Brooklyn.

Of course, If you’d like to get out into the great outdoors, why not check out Central Park’s "Wintertime Warm and Fuzzy" event, or take a discovery walk at Wave Hill?
