New York Family is proud to support the Coalition for the Homeless’ Carnival Night For Kids, taking place on Wednesday, June 10, 2015, at the Victorian Gardens in Central Park from 5:30-8:30pm. It’s a truly special night that provides families with the opportunity to have fun and enjoy each other, while coming together to help other NYC families in need. With more than 25,000 kids sleeping in New York City homeless shelters tonight, these children need your support more than ever.
The entire family is invited to experience this magical evening, which will feature book signings from award-winning children’s book authors Steve Light, Wendy Mass, and Jacqueline Woods; a cupcake tasting station courtesy of Taste Buds Kitchen; amusement park rides; carnival games; a gaga pit; and more.
All proceeds will benefit the Coalition’s youth programs, including Camp Homeward Bound–the country’s first sleepaway camp for homeless children–and Bound for Success, an afterschool and summer day camp program for boys and girls living in shelters.
In case of rain, the event will be held on Thursday, June 11. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit coalitionforthehomeless.org/carnival-night!
