Spring Fever Essentials For Tots

I think I have a case of spring fever! This tiny toddler is tired of arctic temperatures, snow, and being stuck inside and is ready to hit the great outdoors and dominate the playground! I simply couldn’t get by, however, without these spring essentials. I’m sure your kids will love them, too:

61reJAqoj8L._SL1500_Mini Micro 3-in-1 Scooter: I’ve been getting around town with this scooter since I was in diapers. This award-winning set of wheels has different seat and handle bar settings to grow with us kiddos (and to prevent Mommy from having to buy three different scooters). I used to ride on the seat (starting at age one) but then my hand-eye coordination ramped up and I could scoot using my O-bar. And when I am a really big kid, I can reach up to the T-bar. No matter what the setting, I just love scooting along, feeling the wind blow in my hair. Watch out puppies on the sidewalk, here I come! $114.99, amazon.com

blanket picTuffo Indoor/ Outdoor Blanket: This multipurpose water-resistant blanket is the perfect accessory for picnics, camping, on-the-go naps, and more. We tote it around in its convenient carry bag which has storage pockets that I can hide things in. Then the bag magically opens into a large (54×84) water-resistant blanket. It comes in fab designs, too. Mommy likes that it is machine washable and PVC- and phthalate-free. $41.95, tuffo.com

crocsCrocs Girls’ Shayna Glitter Ombre Mary Jane: I love shoes, and these Crocs give me great comfort inside and outside without compromising my sense of style and sparkle. My Shayna Glitter Ombre Mary Janes are so easy to slip on and slide off that I can do it all by myself.  Mommy likes the secure fit and that they withstand the water and sand while I love the massage sole and all the glitter. $29.99, crocs.com

10_babiators_limelight lime_2Babiators: These sunglasses are so colorful and cool that I rock them anytime I go outside (after all, this light-eyed baby is sensitive to the sun and must protect her baby blues). With new spring designs like “Party Animal” and “Houston, We Have a Rockstar,” these super shades are stylish, 100 percent UVA and UVB protected, and, best of all, come with a lifetime guarantee. So if I lose or break them, I get another pair…guaranteed. Not that I plan to do either, but accidents happen. They even come with a cool case (Plus: they were featured in New York Family’s 2014 Camp Guide!). $19.99, babiators.com

Swirl ChalkWee Can Too Friendly Veggie Sidewalk Chalk: This all-natural chalk brightens any kid’s day! It’s fun and safe for all ages, even babies thanks to its organic and vegan ingredients. The original is a classic and the swirl has so many great colors. Watch out sidewalk and playground, here I come with my five -color assortment to make a rainbow of fun. $12, weecantooart.com

build-a-bouquet-detail2Green Toys Build-a-Bouquet: April showers bring May flowers, and in our apartment there are flowers every day with my build- a-bouquet. This wonderful flower playset allows me to arrange, create, and rearrange a beautiful flower garden based on my whims. And as always with Green Toys, it’s made in the USA from environmentally friendly materials. This brightly colored 44-piece set includes four bases, 16 stem and leaf pieces, and 24 flower pieces. Can you say flower power? $26, greentoys.com

51xsFMeP3GL._SL1500_Alba Botanica Very Emollient Sunscreen Kids Spray SPF 40: This all-natural, tear-free, hypo-allergenic, very water-resistant, non-greasy, milky spray sunscreen is a safe and fun way to protect my delicate skin. Mommy doesn’t have to fight me to rub me down from head to toe with gunky lotion—instead, we get to play and spray. It is enjoyable and convenient for both of us. And then I get to swim and run under the sun without harming by beautiful snow white skin. $8.99, amazon.com
