My son is fascinated by bikes--he stares longingly at the older kids at the playground zooming around us like he wants to trade places with them. It will be another year or two until he’s ready to hop on his first set of wheels though. In the meantime, The Smart Trike ($140) looks like the perfect solution. In its stroller stage, the The Smart Trike looks like a bike but has all the features you'd want in a stroller--a steering handle for parent control, a high-backed seat for support, safety straps, and a bottle holder--plus a few extras including a play phone and removable canopy.
