Monday Giveway: The Smart Trike

A Stroller That Converts Into A Bike!

Posted By: Leah Black
-

My son is fascinated by bikes--he stares longingly at the older kids at the playground zooming around us like he wants to trade places with them. It will be another year or two until he’s ready to hop on his first set of wheels though. In the meantime, The Smart Trike ($140) looks like the perfect solution. Intended for ages 10 months to 3 years, it’s a three-in-one product that starts out as a stroller and converts into a tricycle as your child grows (see pic).

In its stroller stage, the The Smart Trike looks like a bike but has all the features you'd want in a stroller--a steering handle for parent control, a high-backed seat for support, safety straps, and a bottle holder--plus a few extras including a play phone and removable canopy. Then, when your child is about 15 months, it can be converted into a push tricycle. At around two years, it converts into a freestanding tricycle that your child can use for the next year or more.

Any product that adapts to meet your child's needs as he or she grows—saving money and storage space in the process--is a winner in my book, and this one is especially cool! Which is why I’m so excited that we have one to give away this week! To enter to win The Smart Trike, follow this blog by signing up for its free newsletter using the box on the top right of this page. (Anyone who is already following "Born & Bred" can participate as well.) Then email us at familygiveaways@manhattanmedia.com by Monday, October 31 at noon, putting "Smart Trike" in the subject line. To increase your chances, leave a comment under one of this blog's previous posts, "like" one of our posts on Facebook, or Retweet one of New York Family's posts--and indicate you've done so in your email. Good luck!
