Having some qualms about being a new father? The NYC Dads Group has teamed up with Tribeca Parenting and the nationally acclaimed Boot Camp for New Dads to offer a series of New Dad Boot Camps!
Meet other new dads and connect with veteran papas for advice on everything from the rewards and challenges of changing, swaddling and comforting your baby to an open discussion about being a father. This community of dads believes that when a man is actively engaged through the pregnancy and the first weeks of his child’s life, he sets the stage for a lifetime of active involvement as a dad. Other issues that will be discussed include being supportive of your baby’s mother, developing a parenting partnership, creating a baby-safe environment, learning how to juggle work as a new parent and managing relatives. Most importantly, dads will come away feeling confident that they can bond with their new babies.
The workshop meets for three hours, facilitated by a trained member of the NYC Dads Group, from 10am-1pm.
