LG’s QuadWash Is Turning NYC Into A Dishwasher-Themed Water Park

Kids will love splashing around inside a giant dishwasher!

Doing the dishes may not be everyone’s idea of a fun time, but getting to play in an enormous dishwasher-themed water park certainly is! This year during New York City’s beloved Citi Summer Streets event, look out for the LG QuadWash Water Park–it’ll be hard to miss at 6,750 square feet! The inflatable water park is designed to represent every feature, inside and out, of the new LG QuadWash dishwasher. The QuadWash’s innovative design of four spray arms instead of the usual two ensures your dishes are always spotless, and now it’ll be able to clean your kids, too.

Similar to the actual QuadWash, the water park promises to soak festival goers from every angle. Featuring obstacle courses and slides shaped like cutlery, kids can dodge jet streams and glide along the “3rd rack” into pools of water. Even the QuadWash’s signature four arms can be found, and the inflatable water park will measure a massive 30 feet wide by 50 feet long, allowing up to 25 to 30 people at a time. While kids slip and slide all over the course, parents can sit and relax in the nearby cabanas. The water park will be set up on Park Avenue between 70th and 71st Streets and is sure to be one of the highlights of Summer Streets, which will be celebrating its 10th anniversary this year.

Put on annually by the NYC Department of Transportation, Citi Summer Streets shuts down nearly seven miles of roadway during three consecutive Saturdays in August to encourage more sustainable means of transportation and provide fun activities for families to enjoy. Other attractions this year will include a rock wall; zip line, and fitness classes. Ride your bikes, go for a stroll, and try your hand at some of the many games offered, and then finish the day by cooling off in the giant dishwasher.
