TAKE ONE

On a rainy Friday morning, this mom of a 17-month-old along
with two friends and their 2-year-olds headed up to Madison
Square Garden
for a performance of Sesame Street Live.
As the lights dimmed and the stage came alive with Elmo, Big Bird and all their
friends, you knew you were about to embark on a magical journey. All you had to
do was…1. Close your eyes. 2. Think you’re there and 3. Imagine you could be
anywhere.  And that’s exactly what we did!
We started with a musical adventure in Mexico, an exotic sailing trip, a jungle
hop—even a visit to Baby Bear Uncle’s house.

Fun, lively
and educational, Sesame Street Live
delivers a memorable performance for anyone who grew up with Elmo or just
beginning to get to know the Cookie Monster and his pals. And when Big Bird
announces that his aunt has gone to a spa on Plume Island, one could only
imagine how divine it would be to join her.

TAKE TWO

Who wouldn’t like to hang out for an hour or two on Sesame Street?

One of the highlights of my family’s winter every year is to see what
surprises are in store for the new production of Sesame Street
Live…and of course, every year I get roped into adding a new Sesame
Street Live cast recording to my CD collection.

This year, kids attending the show are invited to come to the theater
an hour early and play in a super fun PlayZone consisting of props and
stage settings from Sesame Street. The fact that my daughter got to
play on a piano like the one from Elmo’s world made running into the subway early on a Sunday morning almost worth it.

And then on to the show!

This year the theme of the show is imagination, which was right up our alley.

The characters from Sesame Street take the audience on an imaginary
adventure on a ship, to summer camp, on Safari, under the sea and
more…singing lots of fun Sesame favorites and ’80s classics along the
way.

And remember, use the code NYFAM for up to 40% your tickets!
