    Arbor Day Celebration
    Prospect Park
    12 pm-4 pm
    Celebrate Arbor Day at Prospect Park with games, activities and crafts!  The Alliance at the Audubon Center will be hosting the event all about trees and what makes the landscape so beautiful. Come over and see all the different types of trees the park has.

    Tribeca Family Festival and Street Fair
    Greenwich Street (between Chambers Street and Hubert Street
    10 am-6 pm
    Mini media buffs get the chance to enjoy live Broadway performances, arts and crafts, videogames, film screenings, and more for free at this year’s Tribeca Family Festival and Street Fair! Other kid-friendly highlights include storytelling, animation, and sports, but be sure not to miss the family drive-in movie for all ages!

    Poetry in Motion Springfest
    Vanderbilt Hall
    11 am-6 pm
    For word-lovers, this all-ages festival is a great way to celebrate National Poetry Month. Kids will get a chance to meet award-winning poets (and inspire a unique poem), participate in a poetry workshop, interact with an art installation, enjoy live performances from MTA MUNY musicians, and much more!

    Neighborhood Concert: JACK Quartet
    Brooklyn Public Library
    4 pm
    This talented string quartet explores new territory in the classical genre, from nuanced takes on familiar 20th-century work to  innovative pieces from the 21st century.  With rave reviews from The New York Times (“viscerally exciting performances”) and The Boston Globe (“explosive virtuosity”), the JACK Quartet won’t disappoint!

    Books of Wonder
    11 am-1 pm
    Families will get the chance to interact with children’s book author and illustrator Todd Parr at this great free event!  Hosted by Books of Wonder, the meet-and-greet will highlight Doggy Kisses 123 and Animals in Underwear ABC, Parr’s newest brightly colored and super fun picture books!
