“Topsy-Turvy: A Camera Obscura Installation” At Madison Square Park

By Maria Bonello

Madison Square Park is now home to Topsy-Turvy, a 10-foot by 10-foot camera obscura! What this means: visitors will get to enter the large, interactive  installation to see cool shots of the Flatiron District in real time. The project, created by Sandra Gibson and Luis Recorder, is based on an centuries-old invention that uses light to project images that paved the way for photography as we know it today. Families will get to see New York City from a whole new perspective. For more information, visit madisonsquarepark.org
