The 90-Second Newbery Film Festival at Symphony Space

By Meredith Greene

The 90-Second Newbery Film Festival is the culmination of a national video contest in which students were asked to creatively depict the story of a Newberry award-winning book—all in 90 seconds or less. As you might imagine, condensing a few hundred pages into a minute and a half long film often has hilarious results. The winning films will be showcased at the festival; between screenings, several Newberry children’s book authors will keep kids entertained with fun activities and surprises. $15 ($12 for members).
