“Pippi” At The Swedish Cottage Marionette Theatre

By Meredith Greene

In this modern retelling of the classic tale by Astrid Lindgren, marionette puppets come to life as the silly and spunky Pippi Longstocking and her faithful co-adventurers. Adapted by award-winning playwright Zakiyyah Alexander and presented by the City Parks Foundation, “Pippi” is back by popular demand for its second debut at the Swedish Cottage Marionette Theatre. The fiery redhead will have you laughing and cheering her on as she embarks on one adventure after the next. $5 children under 12, $8 adults. Tuesday-Friday at 10:30am and 12:30pm; Saturdays and Sundays at 1pm. cityparksfoundation.org
