The Paper Bag Players Workshop at New York Public Library
The New York Public Library is welcoming the Paper Bag Players–the longest-running children’s theater in America–for an 8-session workshop aimed to teach children the Paper Bag approach to creating and performing theater.
This group of actors, named after their creativity in rendering paper bags and cardboard boxes into costumes and props, will get kids thinking about how to use paper and cardboard themselves. Then the workshop will explore storytelling, comedy, movement, and more, before wrapping things up with a mini-performance that takes place in the final session. This is a perfect way to get your oh-so-dramatic little one out of the house during the winter–no experience necessary! nypl.org
