Holiday Hands-On Activities at the Museum of the City of New York

By Ginger McKnight-Chavers

Holiday breaks are wonderful but can induce major cases of cabin fever, particularly for New York families. Get out of the house and get your hands dirty at the Museum of the City of New York, which is offering a number of hands-on activities for kids of all ages. Kids can choose to make collages of their favorite winter activities inspired by the museum’s holiday exhibition of winter prints and paintings; make like a secret agent on a scavenger hunt in the museum; or be inspired to stand up for their beliefs through an amazing tour of the museum’s Activist New York exhibit and creative activity to facilitate kids’ ability to express their own views. Reservations required, 10:30am–3:30pm, Museum of the City of New York, 1220 Fifth Avenue at 103rd Street, free with museum admission. For more information and to make reservations, click here
