2nd Annual Black Comic Book Festival At The Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture

By Emily Murphy

For the second year, graphic-novel lovers will come together to celebrate the rich history of black comic book artists and work. The event will include film screenings, exhibit tables, and countless other activities. Don’t miss key panel discussions on Saturday, with subjects like “Black Women in Comics,” and “Superheroes Beyond the Comic Book.” Additionally, there will be a youth workshop on “Creating Your own Comic Books” in the afternoon. The festival is free to the public, and registration is suggested. Hours vary depending on day. nypl.org
