Barri Waltcher, left, and Pamela Weinberg

When career advisors Barri Waltcher and Pamela Weinberg created MYOBMoms (“mind-your-own-business-moms”) with an aim to help women transition from parenting back into the workforce, they knew first-hand just how tricky it can be to make the move from mommy-professional to workplace-professional.  Both had transitioned back into their careers after having children, and they wanted to help other women achieve their own goals.  Through their seminars, workshops, and one-to-one private consulting, MYOBMoms helps women with their “re-entry”, whether they want to return to a former career or start a new one.  Barri and Pamela explain the tools women need to re-launch themselves—from assessing their career options, developing a resume, and interviewing techniques.  They try “to help empower women with the confidence and preparedness they need to accomplish their goals.”

Now MYOBMoms is launching a new venture called WIN-Women Invested In Networking to provide networking opportunities for women to connect with other moms who are exploring career opportunities.  Starting May 13, MYOBMoms will host a series of informal networking events.  The topic for the first session will be networking strategies–offering helpful networking advice and a chance meet other like-minded moms.  A fun and informative way to start, or re-start, your career.

To register for the May 13 event, go to myobmoms-win.eventbrite.com.  For more information myobmoms.com
