April 2012: Scoop

ACTIVITY

TRY FOR BULL’S EYE

Thanks to The Hunger Games, archery may start to gain a younger following. As
a sport that requires patience, strength and focus, we also think it’s a great activity
to teach to your child. But, where to go? Queens Archery, NYC’s largest archery
range, offers lessons from beginner instruction to junior Olympians in their
youth program. They make safety a priority and lessons are conducted by
experienced coaches. Got a pro on your hands? Enroll her in one of the weekly
tournaments, held on Sundays and Tuesdays. A free lesson is given with your
first bow and arrow rental! Recommended for ages 8 and up. For more information, visit bigapplearchery.com.
